Mission

The mission of African Youth Initiative Centres (AYI) is to empower young people of African heritage by fostering their cultural identity, promoting educational success, and enhancing their overall well-being. Through community engagement, leadership development, and support services, AYI aims to create inclusive environments where youth can thrive, take initiative, and become proactive leaders in their communities.

Vision

The vision of African Youth Initiative Centres (AYI) is to create a world where young people of African heritage are recognized as empowered leaders, confident in their cultural identity and equipped with the skills necessary to drive positive change in their communities. We envision vibrant, inclusive communities where youth thrive, engage meaningfully, and contribute to a brighter future.

How to Get Involved

Volunteer

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join our AYI Centres in Australia and Ghana to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people. Volunteers can help promote youth programs, facilitate activities, support fundraising efforts, and assist with administrative tasks. If you are passionate about making a difference, we invite you to join us in creating lasting change.

Partner With Us

We invite organizations in Sydney, Melbourne, and Ghana to partner with us in enhancing support for young Africans in our communities. By collaborating on referral partnerships and joint initiatives—such as cultural exhibitions, mentoring programs, and mental health support—we can ensure that youth receive the guidance and resources they need to thrive.

Donate

Our work relies on the generous support of individuals, groups, and small businesses. We welcome monetary donations, both one-time and recurring, as well as in-kind contributions of goods, which are essential for sustaining our programs and fundraising efforts. Your support, no matter the size, significantly impacts our ability to create positive change and build a brighter future.
